Castlewigg Lodges are located near Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It has a pleasant countryside location on the Machars Peninsula, with outstanding views and local surroundings. You can enjoy a slower pace of life her and make the most of the lodges’ quiet and blissful setting.
The spacious lodges are designed to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Attractive from the outside, they are just as appealing on the inside, thanks to their handsome furnishings and decor. All the necessities are provided and there’s plenty of space for you to unwind and take it easy. Up to four people can stay in each lodge and if the weather’s nice, why not spend some time outside? There’s an outdoor decking area where you can enjoy a tasty, freshly cooked meal, play some card games or have a drink or two.
A perfect destination to explore the surrounding area, the coast, with its many fine beaches, is around five miles away. Further north, there’s the vast Galloway Forest Park. This is a great attraction for anyone who loves nature or wants to practise outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking or even stargazing. The area is known for its excellent dark skies and lack of light pollution, so you’ll get some brilliant views of the night sky.
