Dunes at Upton Towans

Dunes is a collection of two luxury eco-friendly holiday homes on the edge of Upton Towans Nature Reserve in West Cornwall.

They sit right by a three-mile stretch of beach and coastal dunes and are designed to blend in harmoniously with the surrounding rugged landscape. When staying here, you’re just a stone’s throw away from the coast, which offers scenic walking routes and beautiful views of St Ives Bay. There are several towns a short drive away, so you’re never too far away from what you need.

Each of the properties can comfortably accommodate up to four people in two bedrooms. There’s ample space throughout and the interiors are light and bright.

The living area is open-plan and, in keeping with the Dunes’ eco-friendly credentials, has upcycled furniture along with underfloor heating.

The master bedroom offers a generous amount of space and the twin room comes with a selection of children’s games and books to help keep the little ones entertained.

Large sliding doors lead to the patio, where you can relax, have a barbecue or unwind in the hot tub. There’s also a garden complete with a swing set for children.

While staying here, you simply must make the most of your location right by the beach. Go on leisurely strolls and take in the salty sea air, feel the sand beneath your feet and maybe even go for a dip in the sea. Or if you’re feeling particularly adventurous, visit one of the local water sports companies and take to the sea on a surfboard, paddleboard or kayak.

The beach is just over a five-minute walk away, so you can easily spend as much time as you want there. If you’re keen to explore the area further, visit nearby towns such as Hayle, Loggans and St Ives, or perhaps drive down to Lizard Point, the southernmost place in mainland Britain.
