Holmedell is a stylish pet friendly log cabin situated just four miles from the village of Greystoke and a 15 minute drive to Penrith, an ideal location to explore the North Lakes.
Nestled in a quiet development, overlooking the central pond at Duke's Meadow, this delightful lodge is ideal for a family holiday at any time of year.
Step inside and you will enter a hallway and then onto a spacious and contemporary open plan living area with comfortable leather sofas, a dining area for four and a well planned and fully equipped kitchen.
The sitting area features a TV with integrated DVD player and Bluetooth speaker, plus an electric fire for those chillier evenings.
The single storey lodge has two bedrooms: a double bedroom with Smart TV and en-suite shower room, plus a twin bedroom also with TV/DVD and delightful views over the pond.
There's also a family bathroom with a bath and shower over.
Outside guests can enjoy relaxing on the decked veranda with its table and chairs, or enjoy the view from the waterside in the gravel garden area.
Comfort & Cleanliness: Described as "super-comfy," "spotless," and furnished to a high standard.
Location & Wildlife: Located in a peaceful, secluded woodland setting, allowing guests to see wildlife like squirrels, foxes, and birds. It's about 5 minutes from Greystoke village.
Amenities: Well-equipped for self-catering, including a good kitchen, BBQ, TV/DVDs, and a cosy electric fire.
Visitor Notes: Ideal for families and couples (sleeps 4). The location is great for exploring Northern Lakes, but some guests mentioned limited immediate walking paths for dogs
Greystoke Village: Visit the Boot & Shoe pub and the local village shop/post office, often frequented by racehorses from Nicky Richards' stables.
Swimming & Play: Greystoke & District Outdoor Pool features a heated main pool and toddler pool.
Family Fun: Happy Hooves Riding Centre (5.1 miles) for horse riding and Foxy's Adventure Golf.
History & Culture: Explore Brougham Castle (9.8 km) or Penrith Castle.
Adventure: Go Ape Whinlatter (approx 15 miles) or climbing/canyoning at Honister Slate Mine.
Dining: The Dog and Gun Inn (Michelin star, nearby in Skelton), Inn on the Lake.
Shopping/Cafe: Larch Cottage Nurseries and Red Barn Gallery.
