Old Pear Tree Barn, near Newquay

Outside there’s an enclosed garden with ample space, along with a terrace that comes with sun loungers and BBQ facilities. On the first floor is the living area, where you’ll find a TV with DVDs, plus some books and games. There’s also a wrap-around balcony complete with seats so you can enjoy a snack or drink while taking in the views.

Old Pear Tree Barn is a short walk from Cubert, where you’ll find independent shops and a traditional pub, The Smugglers Den Inn. Here you can tuck into sumptuous meals and cool off with refreshing drinks, all while basking in the friendly atmosphere and enjoying the glorious countryside views. If you’re keen to explore the area, drive to the coast and while away the hours on one of Cornwall’s splendid beaches. You can even book some water sports lessons and get out on the sea if you wish.
