Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park
Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to visit Cheshire. It’s located 11 miles from the city of Chester and is right by the charming, picturesque village of Delamere. This village got its name from the nearby Delamere Forest, which was a royal hunting ground during medieval times and played a key role in the development of the local economy. The holiday park has a collection of well-presented lodges and benefits from a lakeside setting.
Most of the lodges have three bedrooms and can sleep up to 6 or even 7 people; the largest has an extra bedroom and is capable of accommodating 8 people in total. All of the lodges benefit from an open-plan design and a wraparound private decking area complete with furniture and a hot tub. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living area has a smart TV you can unwind in front of when you need a break. The neutral colour scheme combined with the use of wood gives the lodges a pleasant look that’s very easy on the eye.
While staying at Delamere Lake Sailing and Holiday Park, you have a great choice of outdoor activities including onsite wake boarding, sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding and open water swimming. You can also venture out and explore the surrounding area. Head to Delamere Forest Park and go walking or cycling along its many trails or enjoy some downtime by the lake. If it’s big-city vibes you’re after, visit Chester and discover the bustling city’s many shops, restaurants, bars and modern tourist attractions. The city is also home to an impressive collection of historic remains including its city walls and cathedral.
