Willingcott at Woolacombe

Just over two miles from the gorgeous, three-mile Woolacombe Beach is Willingcott, a collection of five luxury eco-friendly homes. Each one of the properties here effortlessly blends peaceful, countryside living with the thrills and excitement of being near the coast. They’re nestled in a valley and are surrounded by lush green landscapes, though there are several delightful towns within easy reach. 

All of the homes here can sleep up to eight people in four bedrooms. For the sake of convenience, there are three bathrooms, all of which are spacious and well equipped. Downstairs there’s an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area complete with high ceilings that let in an abundance of natural light and large sliding doors that provide easy access to the decking area. The master bedroom is on the ground floor while the two other bedrooms are on the first floor. Each one offers plenty of comfort and space. All of the rooms in each property come with modern fixtures and high-quality fittings.

While staying here, take advantage of being close to the North Devon coast and spend lots of time exploring the walking trails. Enjoy leisurely strolls on the beach or even practise some water sports if you’re up for some action-packed fun. There are plenty of other great attractions within driving distance, including theme parks, railways, historical remains and coastal towns. When you’re done exploring Devon, sit back and relax on the patio, taking in some fresh air as you enjoy good food, good company and great views of the countryside.

Things to Do

The Big Sheep – A family-friendly park with exciting rides, interesting animal exhibits and entertaining shows. There are also indoor and outdoor play facilities, so kids can have fun no matter what the weather is.

Milky Way Adventure Park – Another park that welcomes families and offers a host of things to see, do and experience. Go on exciting rides, watch lively shows and grab a bite to eat as you plan what you’re going to do next.

Lynton & Barnstaple Railway – Enjoy a short but scenic and pleasant train ride on this historic narrow gauge railway. It dates back as far as 1898 and restoration projects are underway so more of the track can be used again.

Brundle’s Bar and Restaurant – Situated in nearby Woolacombe, this friendly and welcoming restaurant has expansive views of the bay. Choose from indoor or outdoor dining and if you have a dog, you’ll be pleased to know the restaurant has some dog-friendly areas.

The Woodpecker Bar & Kitchen – A short drive away is this traditional pub and restaurant. Choose from a range of comforting classics and see what refreshing beverages take your fancy. 

Monkey Puzzle Restaurant – This modern and well-presented restaurant is in Ilfracombe. It’s a family-friendly venue whose menu offers plenty of tasty dishes for kids and adults alike.
