The Summer House, Sandbanks

Home // Locations // Dorset // The Summer House, Sandbanks

The Summer House is a delightful cottage full of charm and character. Located in Canford Cliffs, Sandbanks, this neighbourhood has some of the highest property prices in the UK outside of London. What makes The Summer House particularly appealing is its location: it lies within Compton Acres, a privately owned garden dating back to 1920. The garden is in fact made up of five distinctly designed gardens, each of which is well worth exploring.

The property can comfortably accommodate up to six people in its three bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom and a third that can be made up with twin beds or a super-king. While staying here you have fantastic views of Compton Acres thanks to the cottage’s terrace and wraparound balcony. When the weather’s nice, you can relax on the balcony or soak up the sun on the lawn down below.

Staying at The Summer House gives you unlimited access to Compton Acres during opening hours. Discover its beautiful gardens, enjoy breakfast or lunch at the restaurant and pick up some souvenirs at the gift shops. There’s also a plant centre and a pizzeria serving freshly made pizzas in the evening. Both Poole and Bournemouth are well within reach and are worth visiting. Each city has a lot to offer, with vibrant shops, eateries and bars, not to mention plenty of attractions both historic and modern. If you prefer to stay close by, there are top-rated beaches a stone’s throw from The Summer House. All sorts of outdoor pursuits and water-based activities are popular here, from trail walking and swimming to kayaking and sailing.
