Gatesgarth is a magnificent property in the heart of the Lake District.

With the Old Man of Coniston as a backdrop and views of the surrounding fells and Coniston Water, this is a fantastic place to stay on your next trip to the Lake District.

Sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms, this dog-friendly property is perfect for the whole family. 

This stunning property is set across two floors and features floor to ceiling glass sliding doors, which provide natural light and an opportunity to enjoy the countryside views from every corner of the house.

Downstairs there is a large kitchen with modern appliances, a breakfast table and a dining table. Guests can enjoy the beautiful views whilst cooking and dining. In the summer months, the glass doors can be opened to enjoy al fresco dinner on the outside dining table. There is also a small utility room and two bedrooms downstairs.

The ground floor of the property is wheelchair friendly and one of the bedrooms features a wet room with shower.

Upstairs there is a lovely seating area with sofas, TV and wood burning stove as well as individual seats in front of the windows – the perfect place to read and relax with views! There is also a TV room with a sofa and bean bags which is a great place for the little ones to play together. This sofa can also be converted into a sofa bed for children. There are an additional two bedrooms on the first floor which boast magnificent fell views. 

Outside the property, guests will be able to enjoy soaking under the bubbles in their private hot tub with great views. Throughout the property, there are plenty of luxurious features, homely touches and stylish furnishings.

This fantastic property is also dog-friendly – allowing two dogs at one time – so your furry friends can enjoy a Lake District holiday too! 

Gatesgarth provides the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. As soon as you step outside your property, you’ll be able to explore the very best of this beautiful part of England. Guests can walk into Coniston village where there are a number of shops, cafes and countryside pubs to enjoy.

Located at the head of Coniston Water, guests can walk along the lakeside trails or enjoy a boat ride on the water.

Coniston is a great base for exploring other beautiful parts of the Lakes including Hawkshead, Ambleside and Windermere which are all within easy driving distance.
