Located near the village of Armathwaite is Hesket Holiday Park, a small and welcoming park with a collection of pretty, homely lodges. It’s peaceful and relaxing thanks to its pleasant countryside setting. While staying here, it’s easy to unwind and take life at a slower pace. The village of High Hesket is just up the road and Armathwaite, which has a train station, is almost as close.

The lodges here are comfortable and convenient. They are attractive on the outside and have more than enough amenities and necessities on the inside. Each one of them is a single-storey property with a choice of two to three bedrooms , accommodating four or six guests. There is an outdoor patio area and some lodges have a hot tub here for you to relax in after spending the day exploring the wider area.

One of the benefits of staying at Hesket Holiday Park is that you’re very well placed for exploring not one, but two national parks: the Lake District and the North Pennines.

The park lies north of the Lakes and west of the Pennines, and both of them are just a short drive away.

Head to the Lakes and you’ll discover some of the UK’s most captivating scenery, with its rolling landscapes, mighty hills and vast lakes attracting millions every year.

As for the Pennines, here you’ll find scenic heather moors, picturesque dales and ancient woodlands.
