Box Tree Escapes is a cosy resort that has just 4 lodges, all of which are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Each one can sleep up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms, making the resort a great option for groups and families.
What also makes it appealing is its location: it’s very well situated for those who enjoy exploring national parks and protected areas. Nearby are the Forest of Bowland AONB and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, both of which are well worth visiting. There’s also the Lake District, which is just a half-hour drive away.
All of the lodges are fitted with modern conveniences and are designed in a stylish and contemporary way. They offer plenty of indoor and outdoor space, so they shouldn’t feel crowded no matter how many people stay. Inside, there’s a comfortable living area with a smart TV and a kitchen with everything you could need for cooking meals and preparing snacks. Outside, there’s a fire pit where you can enjoy light bites and a hot tub that’s very inviting on an evening.

Yorkshire Dales National Park – Box Tree Escapes is a short drive from this beautiful national park, whose attractions include adventurous walks, well-preserved castles, delightful towns and impressive natural features.
Forest of Bowland AONB – Directly south of the lodges is the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It’s home to around 500 listed buildings, an extensive collection of walking trails and many fells and valleys.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis – More than 100 different animal species live at this zoo and interactive, up-close experiences with some of them can be booked in advance.
Eating Out:
Tatham Bridge Inn – A former 17th-century coaching inn that now functions as a traditional pub serving comforting dishes and an array of drinks.
Plato’s – Located in Kirkby Lonsdale, Plato’s is a quaint and charming restaurant that offers lots of flavourful dishes, along with dazzling cocktails and wines.
The Fenwick – A traditional pub with a scenic countryside location and a menu rich in variety.
