If you’re after something calmer, head to the coast and relax on one of the many fine beaches or book a train ride and see the Welsh countryside at a slow, yet enjoyable pace.

Things to Do

Snowdonia National Park – The largest national park in Wales, Snowdonia (now known as Eryri) offers all sorts of outdoor activities from the thrilling and adventurous to the leisurely and relaxing. Hiking, paddleboarding, cycling and kayaking are just a few of the many outdoor pursuits available here.

Borth Station Museum – Set in a former railway station, this museum is all about the history of the local railways and how they made seaside holidays popular.

Vale of Rheidol Railway – If you want a memorable day out, visit this railway and go on a relaxing train ride. Travel on a vintage steam locomotive and see 12 miles of beautiful Welsh scenery; when you’re done, head to the cafe and have a refreshing drink and bite to eat.
