Cwm Cadnant Lodges, Caernarfon

Cwm Cadnant Lodges is a lovely collection of five lodges near Caeathro in North Wales. Caethro is a sleepy village home to just over 200 people. The lodges are on a private site and are an ideal option for anyone who’s visiting the area and wants somewhere peaceful and quiet to stay.

There are five lodges in total. Three of them sleep up to three while two larger ones sleep up to five. Each one has plenty of space of its own, along with off-road car parking. The design is contemporary and stylish, with attractive wood furnishings, soft tones and plenty of natural light admitted throughout each property. The living area is open-plan, making each lodge feel even more spacious. Modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi and a smart TV are supplied.

Less than half a mile away are a shop and pub. Not too far away from Caeathro and the lodges are the towns of Caernarfon and Bangor, plus the Isle of Anglesey. The lodges are well located for anyone wishing to visit these towns and head to the Isle to explore its Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. This covers about a third of the island, including most of its picturesque coastline.

Things to Do

Anglesey Sea Zoo – Home to a variety of marine life from around the UK’s coastline, this friendly aquarium has more than 40 tanks to view.

Llyn Parc Mawr – Located on the southwest corner of Anglesey, Llyn Parc Mawr is a manmade lake where lots of local birdlife can be spotted. There are numerous forest walking trails nearby too.

Pili Palas – This is a small family-friendly zoo that has a range of exhibits and several play areas for children.

Eating Out

Anglesey Arms – This seafront pub is a stone’s throw from the superb 13th-century Caernarfon Castle. It’s set in a whitewashed building and serves classic pub fare.

The Mill Bistro Y Fenin – A charming restaurant set in a former mill. It’s open Thurs-Sun and tables fill up fast, so bookings are required.

Curry Scene – A relaxed, well-presented restaurant whose focus is Indian cuisine.
