Westbrook Park Lodges are located in the charming village of Winthorpe, a rural location just outside Newark-on-Trent.

There are three in total and they are an ideal base for a small family, or group of friends, looking to stay in the area and see the host of attractions nearby. If you’re a larger group, you could even book all three lodges and enjoy a memorable escape together.

Each of the lodges has an open-plan design and provides guests with plenty of space and comfort. They have their own private enclosed decking area that overlooks the communal garden area and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

On the inside, the design is sophisticated and contemporary throughout, making each of the lodges somewhere you’d really want to stay – and wouldn’t want to leave!

All the modern conveniences are supplied so you can enjoy a relaxing, comfortable break without having to worry about anything. Make fresh meals in the well-equipped kitchen, luxuriate in the living area while watching the smart TV or spend some time on the deck taking in the scenery of the Nottinghamshire countryside.

A stay at Winthorpe Lodges wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Newark-on-Trent, a market town that’s steeped in history and has a wealth of centuries-old attractions. Some other places that are well worth visiting are Lincoln – another city with a rich history – and Nottingham, a thriving modern-day city known for its connections to the legend of Robin Hood. Discover interesting museums, relax in lush parks, dine in restaurants full of character and indulge in some retail therapy. When you’re not visiting one of these places, be sure to explore the scenic Nottinghamshire countryside by going on drives to picturesque places or finding some hiking trails to complete.

Oak Ridge Arena – An equestrian centre that holds a wide range of events throughout the year including dressage and western-themed shows. Horse riding lessons are also available.

Newark Show Ground – A large campus with exhibition and conference spaces. All sorts of shows, both indoor and outdoor, take place here throughout the year, Examples include antique fairs, garden shows and even Christmas parties.

Orston – A leading shooting ground where anyone can learn and practise clay shooting.

The Long Bar & Restaurant – Situated in nearby Boscastle, The Long Bar & Restaurant is a fine dining venue that’s part of The Wellington Hotel. 

Napoleon Inn – Another more informal option in Boscastle to consider is Napoleon Inn, a pub serving hearty dishes and refreshing drinks.

Ye Olde Malthouse Inn – A short distance away is the village of Tintagel and Ye Olde Malthouse Inn, a pub with a friendly atmosphere and a menu that has something for everyone.
