The Cabin, Coppertop Wood, near Matlock

The Cabin is nestled in a gorgeous private woodland on the edge of Lea, a village near Matlock. An ideal choice for families visiting the Peak District, it provides a peaceful and tranquil location.

The Cabin was hand-built by the owners who have created a perfect blend of luxury and rustic charm. 

It has a lovely outdoor space and the kids will love exploring the woodland.

This timber-framed lodge comes with bespoke furniture, handsomely furnished interiors and a private balcony that overlooks woodland. The accommodation is situated over two floors. The ground floor enjoys underfloor heating and an open plan living /kitchen area. 

A feature spiral staircase leads to three bedrooms, including  the master with an en suite bathroom, and private balcony.

Outside, you’ll find a decking area with furniture, a fire pit and a hot tub with room for up to six people. 

Stay at The Cabin, and you’ll be able to explore the Peak District with ease. The Cabin is a very short drive from the national park, so you can discover its many sights and experiences at your own pace. There are plenty of museums, activity centres, historic places and nature-based attractions close by.

Heights of Abraham – An excellent choice that offers a memorable day out for everyone. Book a ticket and ride the cable car to discover a sprawling hilltop country park complete with a number of show caverns that are well worth exploring.

Crich Tramway Village – Take a step back in time and see a collection of historic trams. You can even go on tram rides along a route with five stops.

Great British Car Journey – A fascinating museum that’s home to over 130 cars manufactured in Britain. Use an interactive tablet to work your way around the exhibition. If you want, you can even book a unique driving experience in one of 40 historic cars.
