Callander Woods is a family-friendly holiday park on the eastern edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The resort is open roughly 11 months of the year, closing on 4th January and reopening on 6th February. It’s dog friendly and has a well-maintained walking trail that’s suitable for canine companions. There’s an outdoor playground for children, on-site laundry facilities and even the chance to go trout fishing on the River Teith.
Accommodation consists of lodges with hot tubs, caravans, glamping pods and touring pitches. The lodges and caravans are spacious and offer all the comfort you could need. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the resort, though it’s only strong enough to support basic usage; it can’t support streaming.
It’s located in the town of Callander, which is close to two prominent lochs: Venachar and Lubnaig. Here, there are plenty of places to eat and local shops, so you can keep your lodge well stocked during your stay. During the day, head out and explore the many lochs and other scenic features of the area. Loch Lomond in particular is popular with tourists thanks to its loch cruises that offer stunning views all around. Another worthwhile attraction not too far away is Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve
