They’re designed to blend in with their forest setting while providing guests with everything they need. They come in a range of sizes and designs, though what they have in common is that they’re luxury accommodation options that won’t disappoint. All of them come with a hot tub and most of them have a log-burning stove, a gas barbecue and a decking area complete with a kitchen.
There’s a cosy lodge specially designed for couples and a much larger one that can sleep up to 10 people – it even has a bedroom accessed by a rope bridge. Most of the other lodges here are for up to 6 people.
Glentress Forest is part of the Tweed Valley Forest Park and is a haven for fans of outdoor pursuits. It’s especially great for mountain bikers as there’s a well-equipped centre nearby with a cafe, hire shop and changing facilities; there are also several routes to try.
Some of the many other outdoor activities you can practise while staying here include horse riding, alpaca trekking and high ropes courses. There’s an abundance of hiking trails close by and further away, all of which let you see the stunning scenery of the Scottish Borders for yourself. You can also visit ancient ruins, spot some of the local wildlife and discover the villages dotted throughout the area and their rich heritage.
