Lomond Woods, Loch Lomond
Lomond Woods is a scenic holiday resort on the southern tip of Loch Lomond. It’s conveniently sandwiched between the end of the loch and the mid-sized town of Balloch. When staying here, both the loch and the town’s many shops, restaurants and other amenities are within walking distance. The resort’s facilities include a play area for children, a games room and a laundry. Guests are allowed to have BBQs in open spaces, though open fires and fire pits aren’t permitted.
The accommodation options here include a choice of luxury lodges, as well as caravans and a number of glamping pods. The lodges are beautifully furnished and well presented throughout, offering all the necessities and plenty of space. The lodges are pet friendly so you can bring your furry friend along to enjoy the comfortable home away from home.
There’s an abundance of things to do right on your doorstep. Loch Lomond is the largest lake by surface area in the whole of Great Britain. Many water-based activities are practised here. Cruising is one of the top choices, though kayaking, paddle boarding, wakeboarding and water skiing are also popular.
