Sandybury Barn is a holiday cottage that’s located in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. It is located within Dudmaston Estate, which covers some 3,000 acres of woodland and parkland. While staying here, you’re free to explore the estate to your heart’s content. There are lovely walks on the many trails that showcase the natural scenery, or you can go for a bike ride.

As a former barn house, it has a double-height ground floor, with extra large windows letting in an abundance of natural light. This makes the cottage bright and airy, while at the same time giving it a more spacious feeling. Having said that, it already has plenty of room.

On the ground floor, there’s an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with a wood burner, a utility room, an accessible wet room and an accessible bedroom – this can be made up as two singles or a super king.

Up on the first floor there are three more bedrooms, the largest of which is en-suite; there’s also a bathroom serving the other two bedrooms.

Outside there’s a private garden complete with a seating area and a fire pit you can use for outdoor cooking. Next door to the cottage is an open cart shed that’s perfect for storing your bike when you’re not using it.

Should you choose Sandybury Barn, you’ll benefit from being in a place that’s peaceful and secluded, yet still within reach of Shropshire’s top attractions. There are lots of highly rated things to see, do and experience a short drive from the property. From zoos and amusement parks to activity centres and castles, the range of attractions is both large and extensive. Be sure to visit Shrewsbury, a town steeped in history, and stop by the city of Birmingham, which is the UK’s second-largest city and is known for being an industrial hub with a lively, vibrant character.
