Alwent Lodges, Winston
Alwent Lodges is a small holiday park that comprises three wooden lodges. Located in Winston, a village in County Durham, it is within easy reach of the city of Darlington and the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The lodges are situated on a working farm, but away from the hustle and bustle of the farm, so you should get all the peace you need while staying here.
Each one sits with a gravel path on its own plot of land and there’s plenty of space between the lodges so that whichever one you stay in, you’ll have all the privacy you need.
The lodges here are designed with couples in mind as they sleep two people. Each one has a private decking area complete with garden furniture and a log-fire hot tub. On the inside, there’s an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area that’s spacious and lets in plenty of natural light. You’ll also find a king-size double bed with soft, comfortable linen and a walk-in shower. Adding to the rustic feel is the abundance of wood that’s used in each lodge.
By staying at Alwent Lodges, you’ll be within easy reach of many top attractions. Both the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Yorkshire Dales are a short drive away. Both of these protected areas are must-visits for nature lovers and anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. Head to either one of these and you’ll discover charming villages and towns, vast, open spaces and a wealth of opportunities for outdoor pursuits, from hiking and cycling to kayaking and climbing.
