Visit the North York Moors – Cayton is a stone’s throw from the North York Moors National Park, a protected area known for its captivating natural beauty and wild, rugged terrain. The park’s dramatic coastline and idyllic villages full of character also make it worth visiting.
Captain Cook Memorial Museum – Just under an hour away is this museum that focuses on Captain Cook, an 18th-century British explorer known for his travels to the Pacific, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Hawai’i. Learn all about the adventurous sailor and the impact he continues to have on sailing.
Eden Camp Modern History Museum – Located half an hour away just outside Malton is this museum dedicated to the Second World War. During the war, this very site was used as a camp for prisoners of war.
