Bridge Lake Farm and Fishery is a fabulous holiday park in the village of Chacombe, a short drive from Banbury. There are six properties in the park: five of these are regular lodges while the sixth is built into a former tunnel in a bridge and is a unique accommodation option you won’t find at many other holiday resorts. While staying at Bridge Lake Farm and Fishery you can make the most of the on-site coarse fishing opportunities. The spring-fed lake is home to several species of fish and each lodge has its own pontoon. The park is for adults only, which makes it ideal for a relaxing break.
The lodges sleep a maximum of two people, making them ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Whether you pick the tunnel or one of the regular lodges, you’re sure to have a relaxing and memorable stay here.
The lodges are attractive, spacious and well equipped with plenty of modern conveniences and amenities to make your time here comfortable and hassle-free. The lodges have a studio-style layout and are decorated in a modern and tasteful way. They use an abundance of wood panelling that’s easy on the eye and gives them a rustic vibe. Some of the best features of the accommodation options include a patio with a hot tub and underfloor heating (regular lodges only).
If you’re a keen angler or have just a passing interest in fishing, make the most of the park’s on-site fishing opportunities. Also, enjoy a walk around the lake and take in the impressive views of the area.
This park is a superb base to explore the Cotswolds, an area known for its rolling hills, picturesque countryside and lively market towns. Close to Bridge Lake Farm and Fishery are several towns and villages that are well worth visiting: as well as Banbury, there’s Royal Leamington Spa, Bicester and Northampton, all of which have a wide range of attractions both modern and historic.
Aston Le Walls – A leading equestrian eventing centre where horses are trained to compete in top-level events. The facility can be booked for lessons.
Silverstone Museum – Stop by Silverstone Museum and learn all about motorsports and the history of the local circuit. There are lots of interactive exhibits, including driving simulators and Scalextric.
Blenheim Palace – History buffs and lovers of grand homes alike will no doubt want to visit the magnificent Blenheim Palace. This grand country home has been open since 1722 and continues to amaze visitors to this day.
The George & Dragon – Located in Chacombe itself, this friendly and welcoming pub features a brass bar and stone fireplaces.
Salkaara – You’ll find this Indian restaurant in nearby Banbury. Its menu offers a range of appetising and filling dishes that highlight the richness of Indian cuisine.
Kosmos Greek Grill – Also in Banbury is Kosmos Greek Grill. Here you can try delicious dishes from Greece in a relaxed setting.
