Despite being an area with a lot of countryside, getting to Yorkshire is easy from many big cities in the UK. The M1, M62 and A1 connect the area by car, making it easy to get to from anywhere in the country. Yorkshire is around an hour and a half from Manchester, 2 to 3 hours from Birmingham and 4 hours from London by car.
Catching the train to Yorkshire is also a good option. York and Leeds are key stations, with services running from all over the UK on a regular basis. If you’re travelling by train, the journey from London to York takes 1 hour and 45 minutes, and around 1 hour and 20 minutes from Manchester. Manchester to Leeds is quicker, at around 50 minutes. When you get there, it's easy to get to nearby towns and the countryside by train or bus.
