Things to Do

Coniston Launch - Head to Coniston Water, the third-largest lake by volume in the region, and book a cruise. This famous body of water is where the world’s water speed record was broken four times by Donald Campbell between 1956 and 1959.

Alpacaly Ever After - Meet some alpacas and even go on walks with them amid the beautiful, dramatic scenery of the Lake District.

Lake District Walks and Hills - The Lake District is known for its dramatic landscapes featuring expansive lakes and towering hills, or ‘fells’. While staying here, be sure to explore the park and complete some of its many walking trails. Those fit enough can try to conquer a fell or two.

Eating Out

Anglers Arms - A traditional and friendly pub with a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of food and drink options available. Enjoy classic pub food and wash it down with some refreshing beverages.

The White Hart - This is another pub that’s well worth visiting if you fancy a comforting meal in pleasant surroundings. The White Hart is in nearby Bouth and is a historic building dating back to the 17th century; it’s full of character and has a large number of original features.

Rogan and Co - Situated in Cartmel a 15-minute drive away, this contemporary restaurant serves contemporary British fare. It’s set in a riverside stone cottage and has a cosy atmosphere.
