For a a true Lakeland experience, you should stay at Bracken Ground, which is located south of Coniston.

It’s a luxurious and spacious property with a lovely lawned garden, a pond and acres of woodland.

Situated in a wild, untamed part of the National Park, so you can enjoy a truly relaxing Lake District getaway.

 

The property is a luxurious retreat that can comfortably sleep up to 10 people, and therefore, a superb choice for a large family or group of friends.

There are five bedrooms – an en-suite master, three king-size rooms (one with en-suite) and a twin room. All are tastefully decorated and very spacious.

The communal areas include the kitchen, dining and living area, which comes with a woodburning stove.

The outdoor area is where you’ll find a hot tub, sauna, barbeque and pizza oven.

While Wi-Fi is provided, its availability and speeds can’t be guaranteed because of the property’s remote location.

Also, note that there’s an unfenced pond right in front of Bracken Ground; any children staying here should be supervised at all times.

 

Bracken Ground is an excellent choice for a large group visiting the Lake District to have fun, spend time together and make memories that will last a lifetime. It’s a great base for exploring the much-loved national park. There are a vast array of outdoor activities that are available here; hiking, paddleboarding, cycling and sailing are just a few examples. When you’re not out discovering what the Lake District has to offer, make the most of Bracken Ground and its charming lake land location. Things to Do

Coniston Launch – Head to Coniston Water, the third-largest lake by volume in the region, and book a cruise. This famous body of water is where the world’s water speed record was broken four times by Donald Campbell between 1956 and 1959.
