Carwinley Retreat is a collection of five unique holiday lodges, each of which has its own style, design and character. The small park is situated right by the hamlet of Carwinley, a short distance from the Scottish border. The lodges accommodate just two guests, and are a great choice for a romantic getaway.

You are also close to the Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its broad, tranquil landscapes, charming towns and distinctive views.
For a slice of city life and culture, drive south and visit Carlisle, which is replete with history and has all the shops, restaurants and bars you could need.

Visit Carlisle - Located just south of the border with Scotland, Carlisle is a city that’s well worth visiting. See its spectacular castle, take advantage of the diverse shopping opportunities, soak up some knowledge in the museums and refuel in one of the many restaurants and cafes.
Skitby - A short drive away is Skitby Lodge, whose restaurant is a top choice for an evening meal; it also offers brunch, afternoon tea and weekday lunches. It’s an attractive venue with a gorgeous countryside setting.
